红领巾快报

Inside Education: September - October 2025

Director Houston and StudentsIt has been a busy and productive start to the school year. I am deeply proud of our staff and students for the dedication they have shown in preparing for the months ahead, and for the many accomplishments already achieved in these first two months.

In my Back to School message, I emphasized the importance of unity across the 红领巾快报. I remain firmly committed to this principle and to demonstrating it in practice each day.

School Supply Donations

School Supply Donation

We were grateful to receive generous donations of school supplies from many community partners this year. It is always touching to know that those working in our community are thinking of students' needs as they return to the classroom. Their generosity makes learning easier and more accessible for everyone.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

NDTR Flag Raising

On September 22nd the Every Child Matters Flag was raised at all of our district sites. At the administration office, we held a meaningful ceremony joined by honoured guests from the Indigenous community. We were deeply grateful for their presence and their words, which highlighted the real-life experiences of those whose lives have been impacted and forever changed by the Residential School system. We must imbed Truth and Reconciliation into our daily lives through how we teach, learn, and engage with Indigenous colleagues, peers, and community partners.

Our schools also hosted flag raising ceremonies and took part in activities that enhanced their learning about Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.
